What is Patron Saints of Influence?
@patron.saints.sr is a literary reading series + open mic hosted by Sarah Broderick and Gaia Patience Veenis that always takes place on a Sunday in Santa Rosa, CA. Every time we gather, we celebrate an “influencer” who helped shape literary history with featured readings by published writers and an open mic. You're welcome to share any sort of written work on stage for the open mic. Just make sure it's under 5 minutes and, if you're not sharing work inspired by our latest influencer, tell us at least one writer or artist who does inspire you!

You can also join us 30 minutes before the event to do some spontaneous writing if you're so inclined. We'll provide prompts. Or, you can get a writing prompt and something to read by our latest influencer ahead of time. Just head to the form linked in our bio at @patron.saints.sr.

Our inaugural event will celebrate Frida Kahlo on September 15 at 5PM at @shadyoakbeer. All are welcome to watch, listen, and participate.
